This is a cutting edge 8 week workshop/program on engaging more fully with life, day by day, through activating our core attributes. It combines two powerful and popular approaches that have been found effective in home, school and work settings: mindfulness meditation and character strengths inquiry. The many benefits of this uniquely symbiotic program are supported by scientific research. The crux is self-discovery and self-awareness leading to personal evolution, greater fulfillment and deeper life satisfaction.
The course presents time-honored practices in mindfulness and systematically explores 24 well-studied, universally recognized character strengths. Each individual will discover his or her "signature strengths" and how these can be used to make progress toward one's goals. Meditation techniques and strengths practices introduced each week can be integrated into daily life and work, where one can find oneself becoming a more focused and peaceful presence. Full engagement with this material has been shown to lead toward a more meaningful and flourishing life whatever the circumstances. |
