Winnipesaukee Flute

The Winnipesaukee is our most popular flute. These are fine instruments crafted one by one in any key using only hand tools. Beginners and expert players alike love this flute's rich tone, natural feel and musical responsiveness. The tapered bore makes the holes closer which maximizes finger comfort for the larger sizes. And Werner John's ceramic windways sustain the pure and resonant tone quality for hours. Each flute comes with a fingering chart, protective tube, and playing and improvisation hints.

  • balanced, even scale with strong low notes
  • rich and resonant tone quality which maintains its character for hours of play
  • characteristic "chiff" sound when tonguing
  • ease and comfort: light in weight with closely spaced ergonomic tone holes
